Occupational Safety
An HSE training matrix for industrial organizations

How to map roles to safety skills without pretending one generic certificate covers every hazard.
What the matrix is for
A training matrix lists roles on one axis and competencies on the other: induction, hazard recognition, permit to work, fire response, emergency evacuation, and task-specific controls. It shows who must practice a skill, who only needs awareness, and who assesses it.
Hikma’s HSE Fundamentals program is workplace training with a Hikma certificate of completion. It is not, by itself, a NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA credential. If a contract requires a named external certificate, that issuer and exam have to be specified separately.
Build it from the hazards you actually have
Oil and gas, petrochemicals, construction, and manufacturing do not share one matrix. Start from the site’s risk assessment and the tasks that have hurt people or stopped work. Then choose delivery: toolbox talks, a classroom day at your site, or a longer program at Hikma Institute in Al Khobar.
